You *MUST* follow this guide WORD FOR WORD in order for it to work. If you do not follow this guide WORD FOR WORD then it might not work. -= STEP ONE =- - First Install MajorBBS v6.25, Worldgroup v1.01, or Worldgroup v2.0. - DO NOT Enter an Activation Code yet. - When it asks you to enter an activation code press the ESC key and drop to dos. - Copy the GALGSBL.DLL file that is included in WGWAREZ.ZIP into your main BBS Directory. - Boot up the BBS again. You will see that it WILL NOT ask you for an activation code, because the GALGSBL.DLL is cracked for the 97EPEWCYF activation code and for 256 users. -= STEP TWO =- - Let Worldgroup finish installing. Select your modem and the type of system you want to run. - When it asks you how you are connected to the Internet (the default is ETHERNET) type in NONE, if you are going to use Major TCP/IP through your Internet Service Provider (ISP). - Next, go to option number 7 on your main BBS menu (Basic Utilities). Go to the fourth line down and select WGSDMOD (Enable and Disable Modules). These Moudules SHOULD be disabled if you selected NONE for the "How are you connected to the Internet" question. If not Disable them: - Forms-to-file Web Add-on - ISP via SLIP/CSLIP/PPP - MHS Importer/Exporter - RLogin Server - SMTP Services - TCP/IP for Worldgroup - Telnet Server - Web Forms to E-Mail - World-Wide Web Server - Exit Worldgroup and go back to DOS. - If you are running Worldgroup v2.0 Install the files DIALOUT.ZIP and DIALUP.ZIP, If not don't worry about it. - Exit Worldgroup again and return to DOS -= STEP THREE =- - Intstall Vircom's Major TCP/IP NOW! - If you Install TCP200-8.ZIP or any older version, Remember to install TCPIRC10.ZIP if you wish to have IRC on your system. TCP210-D.ZIP and any newer versions have Major TCP/IP IRC included with them. - Let Major TCP/IP install. When it is done you should be at your main BBS Menu. Select option number 1 (Hardware Setup). - This is where you MUST follow this guide WORD FOR WORD in order for it to work right. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= FOLLOW WORD FOR WORD =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - Change Channel Group #1 that says to TELNET. The Starting Channel is 1, and the Number of channels is how many incoming TELNET lines you want to have (Recommended is 8 to 16 incoming telnet lines so that it doesnt suck up all of your memory and so it will not cause lag). - Leave Channel Groups numbers 2 to 15 as - Change Channel Group #16 that says to MODEM. The Starting Channel is FF, and change the Number of Channels to 1. - The next questions should look like this: 1st Question (SLIPINT): YES 2nd Question (SLIPMOD): PPP 3rd Question (SLIPCH): FF 4th Question (SLIPDIAL): ATDT + the phone # of your ISP Example: ATDT5551234 5th Question (PPPPAP): YES 6th Question (PPPUID): The username (login) on your ISP 7th Question (PPPPWD): The Password on your ISP 8th Question (SLIPWAIT): 1 9th Question (SLIPCON): connect 10th Question (SLIPPING): 0 11th Question (MYIPADDR): 0.0.0.0 12th Question (MSS): 1024 13th Question (PRIDNS): 0.0.0.0 14th Question (SECDNS): 0.0.0.0 15th Question (TCPIRLG): YES 16th Question (TCPNEBUF): 50 17th Question (HOSTNAME): anything 18th Question (DOMNAME): anything.com 19th - 28th (CFGTXT00 - CFGTXT09): LEAVE THEM ALONE! - Save these Changes and go back to the Main BBS Menu. -= STEP FOUR =- - Select #3 on the Main BBS Menu (Security and Accounting). - Find TCPLIBM.MSG (You can find it using the search F8 key). - In the Activation Code blank type in the code: JVHHTKTB - In the Activation Code for Incoming Option type in: ZIR-YECK - Save your changes and exit back to the Main BBS Menu. -= STEP FIVE =- - Select option #2 on the Main BBS Menu (Design Menu Tree). - On the TOP menu create an Internet Menu. - On the Internet Menu create Telnet, RLogin, FTP, IRC, and Slip Server - Select the modules for Telnet, RLogin, FTP, IRC, and TCP/IP Slip Server. - Press the ESC key and exit back to the Main BBS Menu. -= STEP SIX =- - At the Main BBS Menu select option #5 (Go!) - Let the Board Initialize. This could take a few minutes. - The BBS SHOULD Dial out to your ISP. THIS SHOULD WORK!!! - If it does work it will tell you your IP address on the Audit Trail. - Try Telnetting, IRC'ing, and FTP'ing from your system. - If this does not work, Ask someone on EFNet or Undernet If you still cannot get Major TCP/IP to work, Come on IRC and just ask! On EFNet we are in #BBSWarez #MBBSWarez #WGWAREZ and #WarezBBS! On Undernet we can be found in #BBSWarez!
